Encapsulated nail art is any decoration — dried flowers, gold foil, glitter, tortoise-shell patches — sealed inside clear product rather than sitting on the surface. The tech places the element on the nail, then buries it under a layer of clear builder gel or acrylic, so the finished nail is smooth to the touch with the art suspended inside it, like an insect in amber.
Because the art is physically inside the structure, it cannot chip, snag or rub off — it lasts exactly as long as the set does. The trade-off is depth: encapsulation needs enough product thickness to swallow the element, which is why it belongs to longer, sculpted sets and why it is honestly off the menu for very short natural nails. It is also how tortoise-shell nails get their genuine sense of depth.
