Nailly asks for exactly what the product needs and nothing more. Photos of your hands are processed on your phone. Your location never leaves it. And there is not a single ad or third-party tracker in the app.

What never leaves your phone
Hand photos for try-on, your profile photo, portfolio photos — they stay on your device. Try-on rendering happens locally; nothing is uploaded, and nothing is used to train anything. A photo leaves your phone only when you yourself share it.
Location works the same way: if you grant it, one GPS reading is used on-device to work out your city, so the board shows artists you can actually reach. You can also just type your city and never grant location at all.
What syncs — and why
Nailly uses real accounts, because losing every design you ever made to a lost phone is not a reasonable price for privacy. Your designs, boards, chats, bookings and settings are backed up to your account and protected by per-account access rules: only your signed-in account can read your data.
That split is deliberate: the creative work syncs so it survives; the sensitive things — photos, GPS — never travel in the first place.
The list of things we do not do
No advertising. No sale of personal data. No third-party analytics trackers. No reading your contacts or messages. No AI training on your content. Nailly even avoids touching your clipboard except the single moment you tap “paste” on an invite code.
None of this is a premium tier or a toggle buried in settings — it is the architecture, written plainly into our privacy policy. We make money from memberships, not from you.
